Windows Azure - 'Meaning of Azure is Sky Blue / Clear Blue Sky'? | Microsoft Cloud Computing named Windows Azure

By reading a column about Microsoft enters into Cloud Computing and their concept named as Windows Azure. Not sure why Bill Gates names for his GUI DOS Version named "Windows" long ago. Now Microsoft named Cloud concept names as AZURE. I started searching what is Azure and what does it mean etc. Some how I got it like the word Azure meaning "Clear Blue Sky", "Deep Blue" from some of the dictionary managing websites. Microsoft always uses blue color every where in the website, software designing.

Azure meaning and name origin

Azure \a-zu-re\ as a girl's name is pronounced AH-zhure. It is of Spanish origin, and the meaning of Azure is "sky blue". The color, from "azul", used as a given name. Suitable for a blue-eyed baby.
