Error Message:

Time Provider NtpClient: No valid response has been received from domain controller after 8 attempts to contact it. This domain controller will be discarded as a time source and NtpClient will attempt to discover a new domain controller from which to synchronize.


Event 38
The time provider NtpClient cannot reach or is currently receiving invalid time data from (ntp.dIP address -> IP address).


Event 29
The time provider NtpClient is configured to acquire time from one or more time sources, however none of the sources are currently accessible. No attempt to contact a source will be made for 30 minutes. NtpClient has no source of accurate time.


Event 47
Time Provider NtpClient: No valid response has been received from manually configured peer time.windows.com,0x1 after 8 attempts to contact it. This peer will be discarded as a time source and NtpClient will attempt to discover a new peer with this DNS name.



Resolution:

Go to Command Prompt: Start --> Run --> CMD --> Press Enter

C:\net time /setsntp:your_DC_name_here or IP_address.


--> Restart Windows Time service


Example: net time /setsntp:win2k3adc1.abc.com

If you are planning to replace the system board (Mother Board) for M4 series of IBM xSeries 3650 model server, you should and must take the activation keys backup, otherwise you will miss the IMM key. IMM key something like iLO Activation key on HP servers. If that  iLO key didn't acivated, then you won't get the 'Remote Access' option. In the same way, IBM series requires a key to be activated to access the IMM console. IMM Activation to be backuped and restore once the new board get replaced.
